EventLingo is built for connection — discovering events, meeting people, experiencing your city. These guidelines protect that experience for everyone.
Be Real
Use your real identity. Fake accounts, impersonation, and misleading profiles are prohibited. Your phone number is verified — this accountability is by design.
Be Respectful
Harassment, threats, hate speech, and discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, or any other protected characteristic are strictly prohibited. This includes in event descriptions, comments, messages, and promotional content.
Be Honest
Event listings must accurately describe the event. Misleading ticket pricing, false venue information, fake lineups, and exaggerated attendance claims are prohibited.
Keep Events Legal
Events that facilitate illegal activity — including unlicensed alcohol service, gambling, drug distribution, or any other illegal conduct — are prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement.
Protect Minors
No content that exploits, sexualizes, or endangers minors. Events marketed to minors must comply with all applicable laws. Age restrictions must be accurately disclosed.
No Spam
Unsolicited commercial messages, bulk invitations to people who have not requested them, and any use of the platform to circumvent its messaging limits are prohibited.
Reporting
Use the in-app “Report” feature for any violations. We review all reports within 48 hours. Serious violations (threats, illegal content, child safety) are escalated immediately.
Enforcement
Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, permanent ban, and referral to law enforcement. EventLingo has sole discretion in enforcement decisions.
