How We Protect You
EventLingo is committed to maintaining a safe and trustworthy platform for all users. The following measures outline how we protect attendees, hosts, and the community as a whole.
Verified Identities
Every EventLingo account requires phone number verification. No anonymous buyers, no anonymous sellers. Every attendee and every host is a real, verified person.
Secure Payments
All payments processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the same standard used by Amazon and Apple. We never store your card number.
Fraud Detection
Our AI-powered fraud detection system monitors every transaction for signs of fraudulent activity, including duplicate account creation, suspicious purchasing patterns, and self-referral abuse.
Chargeback Protection
When a chargeback is filed, we automatically compile and submit evidence including: purchase records, check-in data, IP address, device fingerprint, and account verification. This protects legitimate hosts from fraudulent refund claims.
Dispute Resolution
If something goes wrong, contact support@eventlingo.com. We mediate disputes between attendees and hosts and have a structured escalation process.
Check-In Verification
Our QR-based check-in system creates a verified attendance record for every event. This protects both attendees (proof of attendance) and hosts (defense against refund fraud).
Refund Protection
Buyers can purchase optional Refund Protection at checkout for 10% of the ticket price, allowing refunds up to and including the day of the event.
Data Security
All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Access controls limit who within EventLingo can access your data. Regular security assessments conducted.
Report Anything Suspicious
In-app reporting available on all events, profiles, and messages. Reports reviewed within 48 hours. Urgent safety concerns escalated immediately.
